THE Scottish Highlands will soon hit the big screen as a 'huge new feature film' is set to be shot in the stunning landscape.

Casting agents have put out a call for fresh faces, with an online ad seeking "people of all ages, genders and ethnicities" to star in the upcoming blockbuster.

The London-based Casting Collective – the UK’s top agency for movie extras – is leading the hunt for the shoot in summer this year.

But hopefuls must be local to the area or have a base within driving distance of the Highlands.

The ad promises "good rates of pay" for anyone aged 16 and over.

It reads: "Looking for people of all ages, genders and ethnicities for a huge new feature film shooting Summer 2025 in various locations throughout the Scottish Highlands."

The casting call adds: "We’re particularly interested in hearing from deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent talent, and we will work with you to ensure your access needs are met."

Details of the upcoming motion picture are being kept tightly under wraps.

But last year it was revealed that the reboot of the iconic 80s classic Highlander will be filmed in Scotland during summer 2025 – with none other than Superman star Henry Cavill taking on the lead role.

We previously told how Cavill, 41, has been tapping into his Scottish roots for inspiration as he gears up for the hotly-anticipated flick.

The Jersey-born Man of Steel actor said he is looking forward to taking part in the film which will be directed by the man behind John Wick, Chad Stahelski.

The first Highlander film was released in 1986 and starred Christoper Lambert in the lead role.

James Bond legend Sean Connery also starred in the franchise.

A total of six Highlander films were made between 1986 and 2007, s, with a TV series released in the 90s.

The movies were famed for their soundtracks, which included star acts such as David Bowie, Duran Duran and Sting.
