HOW THE FUND WORKS:
We want to help as many filmmakers as possible to bring their films to life while creating more paid work within the indie film industry. The Fund is therefore divided into two parts. Money from Film Fund 1 (£3,000) can be used to cover any part of your film’s production or post-production. Money from Film Fund 2 (£7,000+) will need to be used to pay cast & crew that you hire from the upcoming London Film & TV Job Fair, 24th October 2024 in London. All fund winners will be expected to exhibit and promote job opportunities to the 2500+ actors and filmmakers attending the event. (Although money from Fund 2 will need to be used to pay cast and crew hired from the job fair, winners will not be required to hire all cast and crew for their production from the attendees).
The maximum one filmmaker can receive is £5,000 in funding, which can be split across Film Fund 1 and Film Fund 2. Each application will be automatically considered for both funds.
The money from Film Fund 1 may go to one filmmaker or be split across multiple winners. The pool of money in Film Fund 2 exceeds the total amount one filmmaker can receive; therefore, it will be split among multiple filmmakers.
WHO DECIDES WHO GETS FUNDING?
All submissions will be reviewed by multiple judges from the Cine Circle PRO Organisation & its close partners.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SHORTLISTED?
All shortlisted filmmakers will be interviewed and have the opportunity to pitch directly to executive producers. During the interview, we will be looking to find out more about your project as well as your recruitment plans.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PROJECT IS SELECTED?
All fund winners will be expected to exhibit and promote any job opportunities related to their film productions at the London Job Fair Event, 24th October.
Additional support:
We will aim to provide as much additional support to all winners as possible, including free Cine Circle equipment hire for your shoot, access to free mentoring or courses, and marketing support through our online and in-person event channels.
All exhibitors at the job fair, including the winners of this Film Fund, will also be eligible to receive an additional £1,000 in funding for their company.
